Tucked among the trees on a quiet dirt road just outside of town, Pipers Cottage is a century-old, dog-friendly retreat offering comfort, convenience, and privacy. Recently upgraded while preserving its rustic charm, this four-bedroom cottage is perfect for families and friends looking to escape and unwind.

THE COTTAGE

• Indoor Living
Pipers Cottage features a bright and airy open-concept living space, fully equipped kitchen with an induction range, front-entry mudroom, main floor laundry, and cozy, inviting interiors filled with farmhouse charm.

• Outdoor Space
Enjoy a large outdoor area with a wraparound deck, patio seating and dining space, and an outdoor firepit — perfect for relaxing evenings or entertaining under the stars.

• Dog-Friendly & Family Ready
We know our dogs are part of the family, too. Let your dog lounge in the yard or lay in the shade on the deck. Keep the kids busy indoors and out with a wide range of board games and outdoor sports equipment (including 2 adult and 2 youth bikes) and beach gear.

RENOVATION DISCLAIMER

We are currently completing final upgrades to Pipers Cottage and will update photos as the work is finished. Thank you for your patience as we work to finalize all of our listing details!

• Exterior: outdoor firepit seating

• Interior: 58" wall-mounted smart TV, induction range, main floor baseboard trim.

NOTE - Heat Pumps are being installed on June 20th, before the AC is needed in the hot summer season. Bookings before June 20th will not have AC, but there will be fans in every bedroom if needed.

One exterior wall is having shingles replaced throughout the month of June, and will not be painted until this work has been completed.

Just minutes away are some of the best East Coast beaches – closest being the Inverness Beach at just a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute bike. Other popular beaches within 20 – 40-minute drive include: West Mabou, Port Hood, Chimney Corner, and Whale Cove.

• Cabot Trail
Just 20 minutes from the Cabot Trail, and 50 minutes from Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Pipers Cottage is a perfect home base for your adventures. Spend the day taking in the breathtaking drive, hiking the iconic Skyline Trail, and return to unwind with a dip in the ocean and a BBQ back at the cottage.

• Outdoor Recreation
The local area hosts a variety of walking, hiking and multi-use trails suitable for walking or hiking for all ages and abilities. Bike along scenic dirt roads or the trans-Canada Trail, hike the shorelines, or stroll the Inverness boardwalk that hugs the shoreline between the Cabot Links golf course and the Inverness beach. Spend the day salmon fishing the world class Margaree river, just 20 minutes away.
