Gorgeous location/views, very comfy beds/couch, good heater and fire place. Kitchen had everything you needed. A short drive to the main street of tamborine, very quiet spot.

Could use a little bit of maintenance, some doors were really hard to slide open and a door handle kept falling off.

Great character and in a nice private setting, very well I eat out, neat, tidy and clean

Location was as expected, the view was great, and the property and facilities were clean and comfortable.

The property provides exceptional views of the Gold Coast, South Stradbroke Island, and the surrounding hinterland during the daytime & night time, the sunrises being most breathtaking, an absolute highlight of the cabin. The cabin itself is very rustic, which perfectly matches the quietness of the surrounding area and adds to the relaxing getaway experience. The keys were easy to obtain too, just punch in a code for the lockbox which is flexible if you are not running on time. We even had visits of all kinds of species! A female Red-Necked Wallaby munched on some grass, a friendly bush turkey hung around, Mr. Kookaburra sung his song along with many other birds, and not to mention the amount of large Skink’s that we watched sun bake on the veranda. Its location makes it a great home base, with plenty of activities, sightseeing, restaurants and shops nearby.

The shower does not drain properly, I had to stop the water 5 minutes into my shower as I was standing in 2-3cm of water, and the water didn’t drain completely for 10-15 minutes after that. The toilet seat is unsteady & the toilet brush has seen better days. The bedding had no fitted sheet, it was just a sheet on top of the mattress (which I hospital tucked to keep it from moving), the doona had no cover & stains on it, it just had a thick throw on top of it. The couch had stains all over it. The sliding doors are hard to open and close with the exception of the sliding doors in the main bedroom & entrance which is the first sliding door on the right walking onto the veranda. Some of the windows you can’t even open in the main room. The locks are flimsy, and fiddly to secure. There are no screens on any of the windows or sliding doors, so you cannot leave anything open at night or you will be swarmed by mosquitoes and bugs. There’s no aircon so this would be troubling in warmer months. Luckily it was just my partner and I, and no one stayed in the guest room as the doorknob is hanging on for dear life. There were many cobwebs outside, behind doors & corners of the ceiling. The cabin needs some serious TLC, & the positives mentioned above are the saving grace from a 1 star review, considering I paid $750-800 for two nights. I wouldn’t stay here again which is a shame because it’s in a beautiful spot. I hope the owner/host takes these things seriously so we can visit again.
