April Cottage is a comfortable, characterful cottage in the most spectacular location overlooking the beach at Cawsand. Clearly a well-loved family cottage, it has everything you need for a holiday stay. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and kitchen utensils that made it a pleasure to cook indoors. There are lots of lovely books to browse as well as family games and beach boules. The bedding is excellent, comfortable and high quality. Most amazing, though, is the location, with stunning views, a super terrace right above the sea, and direct access to sandy Girt beach below.
We liked everything. The listing on Finest Retreats refers to the cottage showing its age in places. While this is true, the cottage is comfortable and homely and very relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage has direct access to the beach but it is worth noting that this involves a climb down a few steps and a little jump on to the sand which might not suit everyone. The cottage is also on the more shady side of the bay and does not enjoy full sunshine for the whole day.
