The cottage is beautiful and has so much character. The surroundings are so peaceful. It's possible to walk to the centre of Chinon (about 1 hour, half of which is along a quiet path by the river). The hosts Béatrice and Thierry couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. They gave us excellent recommendations which really enhanced our stay, and they stayed up late to give us the keys when we were held up on our journey. They also gave us just the right amount of privacy, to enjoy the gorgeous enclosed section of the garden.
