COLMARandCo au coeur des vignes

Wir waren als zehnköpfige Gruppe im Colmar and Co und hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt! Das Haus bietet unglaublich viel Platz, sodass sich niemand eingeengt fühlte. Alles ist modern, top ausgestattet und super sauber. Dank des großartigen Wetters konnten wir die Terrasse extrem häufig nutzen – ideal für gemeinsame Frühstücke und gemütliche Abende mit Blick auf die Weinberge. Die Lage nahe Colmar ist perfekt für Ausflüge, und der Gastgeber Thomas war absolut unkompliziert. Wir können diese Unterkunft jeder größeren Gruppe wärmstens empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Gibt es nichts

Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Es ist sauber und komfortabel. Die Ausstattung ist weit mehr als nur Standard. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen dort und wir waren alle begeistert.

The property is relatively new, clean and the layout of the home is nice. It's designed as a duplex rental, with 4 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and terrace on each side of the home, with a hallway in between that can be closed off if there are 2 seperate parties in the home. On each side, there is a (handicapped) bedroom with en-suite on the ground floor. The second floor has one bedroom with en-suite, and 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a seperate shared toilet in the hallway. There is also a shared half bath/toilet on the ground floor on each side. So far, so good. The terraces each have a gas barbecue, comfortable chairs and a table, and some daybeds. The terrace on the back has a petanque court and a tabletennis table, overlooking the vineyards. The kitchen is well equiped with a large, comfortable fridge that is sufficient for the amount of occupants. It has an induction hob, an oven, a microwave and there is a drip coffee maker and senseo coffee maker present. We brought our own Nespresso though. Each kitchen has a dishwasher. Each living room has a TV, Wifi works and the TV allows for casting. There is a laundry room on each side of the home with a washer/dryer. All bedrooms had two towels for each person nicely laid out on the foot end of the bed. There were some additional towels in the bathrooms. Ample parking for the 2 cars in our group, and a third would not have been an issue. The owner left a key box at the front door and sent the code through whatsapp prior to our arrival, which worked fine. There was some wine from the local coop (Jean Geiler) in the fridge, which was well appreciated.

Kitchen: The kitchen area itsself is quite small and while equiped with most utensils, not suitable for extensive gourmet-cooking for a larger group. The available pots and pans could also use some attention. There was just one frying pan left, and it was a PTFE coated pan that had a severly damaged anti-stick coating. Beds: All bedrooms have 2 small single beds pushed together, each with there own bedding. Taller folks will not fit in these beds, which I suspect are just 190cm long and 70 to 80cm wide. I'm 1.95m tall and had my entire feet over the bottom edge of the bed, while i do usually sleep fine in standard 2m long hotel beds. No double beds here, no joined mattresses or tops that will allow you to use the bed as a double. 4 of the 7 people in our group woke up each morning with back pain, so that also speaks to the (non-)comfort of the beds. I can understand having seperate smaller beds in the "kids" bedrooms, but both "master" bedrooms should just be fitted with a decent normal double bed. Climate control - No airconditioning! The property advertises air conditioning as an amenity, both for the home as well as a room amenity for each bedroom. However, this is false, there is no airconditioning whatsoever present in the home. Actually, there isn't even a thermostat anywhere nor is there any ventilation other then some extraction in the bathrooms and toilets. The home seems to be heated with a ground-source heat pump and has underfloor heating throughout, based on the underfloor heating manifolds and no visiable outdoor unit. Most ground source heat pumps will regenerate the source by transferring heat into the ground uring summer, giving a light cooling effect. That is definitely not airconditioning and advertising it as such is misleading.
