We booked 'the Place 'last minute as recommended by a family friend, as we were only stopped over in Bali for a few days. OMG, this place is brilliant, it was located only 2 miles from central Ubud, about 10 mins by car (closer by bike) and yet the villa was set off the main street to Ubud, which meant we had the best of both worlds! We didn’t need to travel too far from our front door for food and supplies, as a good choice of local food places and coffee shops.were in walking distance. Everything at the villa was new and the generously equipped and enclosed kitchen and living area was a major plus. I give ’The Place’ top marks as it made our stopover from London a very pleasant and relaxing surprise! The ‘icing on the cake’ was the thoughtful and caring staff, who made sure our stay was a real pleasure! The only minor negative, was the lack of a few floaty toys in the pool!

Nothing to complain about at all

It was quite location. The vila was newly built, so it was clean and nice. Pool was clean and kids enjoyed. The host was friendly and available to check out at 3am! He introduced a lovely driver who took us every where in a reasonable price.

There was no microwave in the kitchen. (Which I should have checked before booking). We could not walk around the vila and we needed to rent a car to go out. Not many Grab taxis available in the area and a bit far from the Ubud central areas.
