Hospitality at it's best. Pick the premium rooms. They are big and has lot of facilities. Quiet place with good food. The place is accessible by road and walk by the side of the canal. They arrange facility for Shikkara boat ride and Canoe rides. Food can be preordered. Shyam at the reception, Sivan for the foof, Biju for the Shikkara ride were exceptional in their service.

My stay was excellent. The room was very clean, and the staff were courteous. They arranged a boat trip in the morning, and it was an awesome experience.

I stayed at Kalloos Island Backwater Resort and overall had a decent experience. The room was comfortable with AC, fan, and a clean washroom. However, the hot water system was inconvenient — it takes around 3 minutes to heat even a quarter bucket, and you have to wait and repeat the process, which was quite annoying. Another concern was the bathroom ventilation window. It’s a square-shaped opening that cannot be locked from inside. I had pulled it to close, but someone opened it again from outside. The management should look into fixing this for privacy and safety. The food and snacks were tasty, but a bit pricey, and since there are no hotels or restaurants nearby, you don’t have alternate food options. For activities, the kayaking with a guide cost ₹1600 for two for a 2-hour session, but it ended in 1.5 hours. However, the canoe tour with the well-known Munroe Island guide was completely worth it for the full two hours. The caretaker is friendly and speaks English well. Also, at Kalloos Resort everything is fixed-price with no bargaining, including the ₹50 auto fare from Munroe Station. Overall, it’s a peaceful stay with good hospitality, but a few improvements—especially the bathroom vent and hot water system—would make the experience much better.
