This property definitely has potential. The location is beautiful and quiet. It is near to all things Toledo Bend. The home is well appointed, but the beds were not comfortable unless you like extremely firm. One of the beds was extremely noisy. I wound up sleeping on the sofa which was much more comfortable. The rest of our party woke up tired and sore. There was no battery in either of the remotes to the fan/light in 2 of the bedrooms. The coffee pot had not been cleaned and may have been left on as the pot was black on the bottom. A minor issue if the drain strainer in the master shower. It has seen its better days. There was a safety concern on the back steps. On the 4th step from the bottom, the front board is weak and bowed. As I stepped down, the front board felt like it almost broke. It nearly made me loose my balance and fall. Thankfully, I was able to grab the hand rail. All of these issues could easily be addressed to make this a 5 star stay. The host was friendly and quick to respond, although we didn't message her to complain about anything. We just cleaned what needed too be cleaned and dealt with the rest.Check in was a breeze and accommodating.
