Seafront townhouse in Sandgate

Clean, well furnished house, with comfortable beds, a parking space and a balcony with a spectacular view of the sea.

The road is quite busy so there is bit of road noise at night. There also wasn't a wardrobe in the top bedroom, which wasn't a problem for a weekend stay, but I would have wanted one to hang things if I was staying longer.

The view was amazing. The bathrooms were lovely. Spacious

Lack of towels. Beds could be bigger. Balcony area and seating could do with an overhaul. Couldn’t really sit out there as chairs rusty and tarnished. Which was disappointing

Overall a fabulous property, everything you could possibly need. Home from home

The communication from booking.com re the address of the property was not received, I had to chase on the morning of departure for the full address, the owners said they did not get my messages re the full address and neither did I get the email from them re the full address. I sent three messages via the appropriate messaging system eventually, I used live chat to obtain the address resulting in a delay in leaving home and unnecessary stress. The property owners were very accommodating and kind and allowed a later check out, this was lovely.

The property had not been cleaned on the departure of the previous guests . Beds not changed or made, wet towels in bathrooms, dirty dishes in dishwasher, oven not clean. Hosts did sort it out but made arrival on holiday very disappointing. Some aspects of property did not live up to expectations…front balcony furniture rusty and worn, rear of property a bit grim to look out on.
