Hermia Mansion

Having stayed at several places in Syros in previous stays, we can confidently say that this has been an exceptional experience and, by far, one of our favourites. The historic building is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning interior details and a wonderful sense of character and elegance. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and everything has been designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Nothing was overlooked, making our entire stay flawless. We spent 10 days here and honestly did not want to leave! The property is exceptionally quiet, impeccably clean and incredibly relaxing — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty and charm of Ermoupoli. It offers a rare sense of peace and tranquillity that made our stay even more special. A special thank you to Giannis, who was attentive, welcoming and always available whenever we needed anything. His hospitality truly added to the experience. This is a place we would return to again and again without hesitation. If you are looking for somewhere truly special to stay in Syros, we cannot recommend it highly enough! Thank you for making our time in Ermoupoli so memorable.

Nothing at all, the whole experience was outstanding

Spacious and cool and well located. Comfy beds too.

All good.

The location is great and the house has a beautiful vintage style and a lot of space.

Unfortunately our experience was still disappointing. Cleanliness at some points was below standard, and the downstairs bedroom was damp and smelly, making it unhealthy to sleep in, especially if you have respiratory issues. Having two usable bedrooms was one of the reasons we chose this place. The other main reason was the patio, but it was completely unusable due to the heavy pigeon waste. Since I specifically asked about the patio before booking, this should have been communicated beforehand. The host greeted us at the door with the keys but left immediately without showing us around. Despite promises and reminders, we never received the Wi-Fi password or any useful information. Because of these issues, we left a day early. The house has potential, but in its current state and hospitality it did not meet our specific needs or expectations. The host later claimed they hadn’t received our Whats App messages (though shown as delivered and they contacted us there before), and even after resending through active Booking chat, the host never replied to our concerns which is why we decided to leave a public review.
