We joined a family dinner full of stories and local flavors. The homestay is traditionally decorated and surrounded by nature — seriously, the perfect cultural escape.

Sapa May Homestay is run by a lovely family who share their culture and stories. Truly authentic and heartwarming.

The staff did not speak any English but was very keen to help.
Hot water was fairly hot.
They undertook construction works all around the property and so there were tools, bricks and bags of cement here and there, it was not pleasant to walk around the structure.
The bathroom had drainage problems so after a shower using the toilet included a foot soak.
