Marie by the Sea

Clean and stylish place with a comfortable bed and useful amenities, including an air fryer and a large, well-functioning refrigerator. The host was responsive and professional. Overall, a lovely place.

Propreté et réactivité de l’hote

Location was great. Right by the beach. Full kitchen and very comfortable bed.

I was very happy overall. Could have just been a bit cleaner in the bathroom as there was a lot of hair on the floor / basin.

A nice place, basically exactly halfway between Grand Baie and Péreybère – two very nice places. The apartment is attractively furnished. The kitchen was fairly well set up.

The street and entrance area to the house is very dark in the evenings, which I found slightly spooky and I felt a little unsafe sometimes. Similarly, the streets are quite dark in the area if one is travelling by foot and there are not always pedestrian paths available (so one needs frequently to walk borderline on the street alongside the automobiles). It is a bit of a walk to either of the nearby towns – even if this walk is ultimately manageable. The bathroom window was not tall enough for me to be able to see myself in it. The windows are not sound insulating enough, so it may be slightly noisy in the mornings. There is no proper place to hang clothes as the compartment intended for hanging clothes is too short to be overly useful. The toilet paper stand in the bathroom was not stable enough, and tipped over too easily. The Wi-Fi can be slightly weak if one is not in the bedroom area.
