Urban Rest Toorak

Light and airy, great little touches and very comfortable. Location excellent for trams, trains, and buses. Good local cafes bars and food shops.

Traffic noise at night but that is the price you pay for being so central

We enjoyed the location being near our family. The apartment was well appointed and very clean and tidy. It has a nice ambiance.

Double glazed windows may help to keep traffic noise to a minimum if possible.

Noise of the street (no fault to the company) however the windows don't fully close (might be heritage) which did not help. You can also hear other apartments but it was not a huge issue, it's my only complaint and even this is a very minor one

Nice decor, good hot shower, modern washing machine and dryer, Nespresso-compatible machine, ground floor access, smart tv, large fridge/freezer

The Booking.com listing included “free parking” and “dishwasher” which did not exist for Unit 5. Maybe units 1-4 had them? Urban Rest Toorak apologised, amended the listing but that was all! The kitchen only had one tiny sink, challenging to wash and rinse pots etc in. We parked on Cleland St - restricted Mon-Friday between 9am and 6pm for one hour or two hours, good thing we were out most days. The kitchen light bulb was very very weak, useless at night; we moved one of the lamps into the kitchen so we could see what we were doing. Urban Rest promised an electrician but none turned up the 7 days we were there. Hopefully it is replaced now. I think one reason is the whole building is for sale; Urban Rest probably doesn’t think it’s worth investing in proper maintenance and repairs.
