Escape to Positive Outlook

The exterior was cluttered with trash fwith discarded material. We swept and cleaned the floors .Front slider was broken and screen ripped ,sadly because the view from the tired deck is awesome. Left a day early. Bed and shower was very nice. No info sheet for appliances or checkout.

The two-bedroom house in Phippsburg was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we felt at ease, but it was the rooftop deck that quickly became our favorite spot. Perched above the other homes, it offered a view of the water—better than we had imagined—and became the perfect place to start and end our days. Our host, John, was wonderfully helpful. Not only did he point us toward a local spot where we could pick up fresh lobsters, but he also provided the extras we needed to make them into the perfect dinner. Sitting down to that meal felt like one of those quintessential Maine experiences we had hoped for on a trip like this. One small note: it’s worth coming prepared with a printed copy of the house details or a downloaded version on your phone. When we first pulled in, we weren’t quite sure we were in the right place. With cell service almost nonexistent, I couldn’t bring up the photo I needed for confirmation. If I’d had it handy, it would have saved a several minutes of uncertainty.

It was perfect as we arrived and the host had the cottage very cool and inviting! We opened the door to a recently redone and carefully chosen for comfort cottage that was open and airy, very clean, comfortable stay that we can't wait to return to! The view off the deck and from the lookout on top deck of cottage looking into a typical Maine cove with boats, sparkling water and pine trees was so picturesque and relaxing. There is also a kayak rental place next door, and a short walk to a lobster and oyster store, a small beach, and ability to visit an oyster farm, go on a fishing charter, or sunset cruise right next door to the lobster hut! What more could you wish for?
