Times Square King Studio Steps from Broadway

Location was great, and having a full kitchen was awesome. There was a ton of closet space to hang clothes up in and even a washing machine and dryer in the unit (although the dryer had been left full of sheets and towels).

The building is still under construction, with only the upper floors completed. The construction was not felt at all in the apartment itself. However, there were 2 critical issues: elevator and A/C. One of the elevators had gotten stuck recently and was shut down for repairs. The other would stop working intermittently if left on upper floors and not sent back to the lobby. The first night in, I came back to a stopped elevator and waited 25 minutes for it to self resolve before realizing I had to brave the stairs. I was able to use a worker's elevator that went up to the 10th floor , but had to walk up in a stairwell full of construction dust for the next 19! floors. Once, when I was taking the 'OK' elevator down, it suddenly stopped and reversed direction, shooting up very quickly before stopping and going back down, which was rather frightening to experience. But both elevators had been restored by the end of my stay. The central A/C was temperamental and didn't work most of the time. Since there was a heat wave in last 3 days of my stay, this was a big issue. As soon as they were aware, the hosts organized for repairmen to come with a portable A/C, even though it was already nighttime. Unfortunately, there was no way to install it because the windows didn't open enough. They lowered the A/C to 45 degrees, confirmed it was actually blowing out cooler air, and left. But that cooldown stopped within a half hour. So I spent those last 3 nights sleeping in ~88 degree heat and stuffiness. I still think the apartment is a great option if the issues are fixed. If there is a specific way to make the A/C work properly, that should be shared.

Pros: The location of this property (70 West 45th St) is absolutely fantastic! It is super close to 5th Avenue and Times Square, with extremely convenient access to subway lines and bus stops. The apartment was perfect for my family (my wife, daughter, and myself). It has a double bed and a double sofa bed. The amenities were top-notch, including a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a large refrigerator, and a full bathroom.

Unfortunately, the central AC was out of order during our stay. A portable AC unit was provided, and when paired with a fan, the room temperature was manageable. However, the portable AC was quite noisy at night, which somewhat disrupted our sleep.

Finalmente tuvimos que pedir que nos dejaran salir un día antes y que nos devolvieran este cargo y el hospedador accedió. Sería bueno contar con un manual de uso de aparatos y demás. La secadora estaba llena de ropa de cama y toallas. La licuadora esta incompleta.
