Ahangama Surf Club

We stayed at Ahangama Surf Club for one night and really enjoyed the accommodation. The room was stylish, comfortable and had lovely sea views. The air conditioning was excellent, and although the property is located on the main road, our room was at the back, so we didn’t hear any road noise. The location is great, with shops and restaurants nearby, and there was a fridge in the room. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily stay again, particularly for the stylish rooms, sea views and convenient location.

The staff showed us to our room, but we didn’t have much further interaction with them. Compared with other places we’ve stayed, where staff have been particularly warm and welcoming, offering recommendations and sharing the Wi-Fi details, the experience here felt a little less personal. This isn’t a complaint, just an observation. A couple of small things to note: the balcony doors were a little tricky to open and close, and after some heavy rain during our stay, there was a large wet patch in the hallway. There was also no hairdryer in the room.

Good location and the rooms were clean and spacious. Good AC system! Staff were very supportive and helpful when it came to having to pay credit card, only cash is accepted. Helped with airport transport and also between hotels

Would be good to have an onsite coffee/snacks available, laundry service too. Didn’t seem to offer room service in the mornings either. Not sure if it was due to another guest with pets, but a very strong wet dog smell

Ahangama Surf Club is in a great location, right in the heart of Ahangama, making it super convenient to get around and enjoy everything nearby. It’s just steps away from the beach, and the rooms are beautifully designed with lovely sea views. The overall vibe and location make it a really nice place to stay. The only downside is that there’s no dedicated parking, which can be a bit inconvenient if you’re travelling by car. Other than that, it’s a great spot to stay in Ahangama!
