Kelingking Tropical

La piscina muy buena y se puede usar las 24 hs y el trato del personal, todos muy amables, el complejo está muy bien y bonito. La cama muy buena se puede dormir a gusto.

La habitación está muy bonita; pero en el armario hay perchas pero no hay barra donde colgarlas, faltan algún que otro enchufe, para hervir agua hay que desenchufar la tv. En la mesilla de noche hay que desenchufar la lámpara para poder cargar el móvil y no estaría mal una papelera en la habitación. El baño bien pero; no había toalla de cara, ni pie de ducha. El desayuno no está mal, solo incluye una bebida y un plato de fondo, podrían mejorarlo.

Wij hebben super genoten van ons verblijf. Super ruime kamer en badkamer. We hadden een gratis upgrade naar een suite, maar ik betwijfel nog steeds dat dit een suite was. Desondanks ruim tevreden met de kamer. Mooi zwembad. Heel dicht bij Kelingking Beach. Het ontbijt was wel wat sober vergeleken met onze andere verblijven. Je had enkel 1 gerecht en een koffie of thee. Geen fruit of sap. Maar voor de rest was het super. Wij hebben helaas wel 2 x zonder elektriciteit gezeten. Volgens mij gebeurt dit hier wel vaker.

Het ontbijt was wat minder. Ze zouden wel wat fruit of een sapje mogen bijgeven. Bij de Nasi Goreng was er zelfs geen ei bij.

The location is exceptional, just a leisurely 10–15-minute walk from the spectacular Kelingking Beach viewpoint. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with lush tropical greenery, gorgeous sunsets and a charming village atmosphere. Roosters crowing, dogs barking and even a dog chasing chickens added to the authentic island experience. The staff were genuinely kind, friendly and welcoming. They greeted us warmly upon arrival and immediately helped with our luggage. Our King Suite No. 2 was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, with some lovely original lamps and a view of the pool. The bathroom was enormous, and I particularly liked its unusual basin tap and the practical ladder for hanging things. The outdoor drying rack for wet swimsuits was another thoughtful touch. The two swimming pools were absolutely gorgeous, with pleasantly warm water and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by dense tropical greenery, they made the property feel like a little paradise. The pools and gardens were clearly very well maintained, with staff regularly looking after them. This part of the hotel easily deserves five stars.

Unfortunately, several aspects fell short of what I would expect from a four-star hotel. Arrival and reception: The entrance was rather confusing, and the reception consisted of a small counter tucked away in a dark corner. The nearby seating area, with motorcycle helmets occupying some of the chairs, didn't create a particularly welcoming first impression. Room comfort and maintenance: Despite the room's generous size, there wasn't a single chair or armchair inside, nor a luggage rack. We ended up bringing a chair in from the terrace to put our suitcase on. The advertised slippers were missing, and the air-conditioning unit was visibly dirty and extremely dusty. Sound insulation was very poor—we could hear every word from the neighbouring room. There was also a constant noise resembling running water coming from somewhere behind our room. Bathroom: The biggest problem was a persistent sewage smell that made our stay considerably less comfortable. We had to keep the bathroom door closed, but the sliding door didn't work properly. Decorative wooden panels were coming apart, with light visible through the gaps. Hot water ran out after just a few minutes. There were only two bath towels, no smaller towels or bath mat, and two unlabelled shower bottles, one of which smelled extremely unpleasant. Electricity: We experienced two power outages during our two-night stay—one lasting approximately an hour and another throughout the night. I understand that island infrastructure can be unreliable, but the second outage appeared to affect only our accommodation, and nobody checked on us. My partner eventually had to wake the receptionist to ask what was happening. Breakfast: There was no proper dining area, so breakfast was served either by the pool or in the room. The menu was very limited, mainly offering eggs, chicken and sweet dishes. As a vegetarian who doesn't eat eggs, I had almost no choice.
