I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Serenay Hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms looked exactly like the booking pictures, and there was a great selection at breakfast.
The location is excellent—situated on the edge of Malaga city, it’s just a 10-minute walk to the main streets and restaurants, 20 minutes to the marina, and 15 minutes to quieter beaches in the opposite direction (san andres beach). As a newer hotel, I was also fortunate enough to have enjoyed an airport taxi service included in my package.
On checkout I was gifted with some refreshments, sandwich and cookies. I thought this was a lovely gesture, one I haven't experienced before.
While the hotel features a large rooftop area, adding a plunge pool would be a wonderful addition given the warm local climate. Additionally, it would be a huge bonus if the room windows weren't locked, as being able to open them for fresh air would be a nice alternative to relying solely on the air conditioning.
The large rooftop would be perfect if it had a plunge pool to cool off in.
Locked windows prevent fresh air circulation, forcing guests to rely entirely on the AC.
