With its own deck, hot tub and bistro table set, it creates an atmosphere of quiet relaxation among nature. Guests will feel right at home as they admire the glistening waters and enjoy a soak in the bubbling waters of their very own hot tub, perfect for soothing any aches and pains after a long day exploring.
Inside the room there is a welcoming queen size bed and Roku smart TV. The en-suite bathroom features a shower over a bathtub.
Our rooms have a mini fridge, Keurig coffee & tea station.

THE PROPERTY:
Carolyn’s Cove is one of the few accommodations in our area located on the ocean with its own private shoreline. Our property is nestled on two acres of rainforest across from the Ucluelet inlet. Our main house has 3 adult only (ages 13 and over) rooms in the walk out basement overlooking the inlet. Each room has their own private ensuite bathroom and entrance. The rooms open to a semi private patio, and the common back yard with a 6-person hot tub along with patio table and chairs to soak in the beautiful surroundings. All rooms have their own TV, sitting area and high speed WiFi.
The property also has a detached double-car garage with an upper level cabin. This open concept Treehouse Cabin has a full kitchen and cozy living area. The bathroom has an amazing tiled shower and varnished driftwood vanity with a raised glass sink. With its own deck, guests can enjoy private ocean views. At low tide guests can walk on the beach, or spend your time bird watching - one guest identified 31 species on our shoreline. At high tide, watch for visiting seals and sea lions.
Newly added in 2022 is our Tranquil Tiny Home, located on the upper portion of our property. Guests of our 24ft tiny home cabin have their own private deck with seating area, hot-tub and BBQ. The tiny home and Cozy Cove trailer are neighbours. Our tiny home cabin has a queen bed in the loft bedroom accessed by stairs. There is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, induction cooktop and all the utensils you will need for a romantic meal. There is a leather loveseat looking out at the ocean through double french doors. The cabin has a three piece bath with toilet, sink & shower, with a hot water on demand system.
Guests are welcome to sit in the private use hot tub (not secluded) and enjoy the ocean view. We have a path leading to the shoreline where you can launch a kayak stand up paddle board, or go for a walk. There are plenty of areas to bird watch or enjoy our quiet little piece of rainforest heaven.
Carolyn’s Cove is all about quiet peaceful comfortable surroundings. Locally there are plenty of quiet spaces, trails to hike or water activities to enjoy.

Ucluelet offers an abundance of outdoor activities such as stand up paddle boarding, surfing, as well as bear, whale watching and ocean fishing tours.
Visit the aquarium or walk the Wild Pacific Trail, or any number of local beaches.
Your options for getting around the area are easiest by vehicle, however another option might be a motorized bike. Just keep in mind Ucluelet is 16km away.
There is no local public transit other than taxi. It is best to visit the Ucluelet/Tofino area by vehicle.
Maximum occupancy for this room is two for guests 13+.
Please note:
1. you may find the occasional bug or spider in the accommodation as we live near water in the rainforest,
2. Hot tub use is not guaranteed during your stay due to unforseen circumstances including but not limited to repairs and maintenance.
3. Due to Ucluelet`s remote location, there could be a disruption of power which could also affect water supply. There are no refunds for disruptions less than 24 hours in duration.
4. Due to unforseen circumstances, not all amenities are guaranteed to be available during your stay.
5. Rooms do not have food preparation or cooking facilities (the cabins have full kitchens). We do not allow for portable cooking devices.
6. Our property is protected with outside security cameras at all entrances, public areas and over hot tubs.

We expected our guests to behave in a civilized manner and to be good neighbors with other guests.
If your actions disrupt the enjoyment of any of our other guest, you could be financially responsible for the cost of their nights stay. As well you could be asked to leave the property with no refund.
Self Check in is after 4pm, with NO early check-ins. Please respect quiet time hours by keeping noise to minimum
Due to zoning bylaws, there is no food preparation or cooking allowed in our rooms, only our cabins/trailers. Anyone found to be preparing food in our rooms may be charged for excess cleaning and or damages to property and/or plumbing and septic system.
We do not allow the use of open flame appliances on our property. This includes the use of candles inside or outside the accommodation.
Check out: leave bedding on the bed, shut off all appliances and lights, leave wet towels in the shower. Ceiling fan can be left on to circulate air. Clean up any messes. If you prefer that we complete check out tasks for you, we charge our cleaning fee rate of $50/hour. There are NO late check outs please.

Registered Guests
Only REGISTERED guests are permitted to be on the Property and to use amenities owned and provided by Carolyn’s Cove. We will require ID from registering guest upon arrival. Unregistered guests found on the property will be asked to leave immediately, and further, registered guests found to be in contravention of this agreement may be asked to leave immediately with no refund of the reservation.
Damage Policy
The person making and paying for the rental of the accommodation is financially responsible for the cost of repairs arising from any damage beyond normal wear and tear including but not limited to carpet/floor stains, interior wall damage, appliance repairs arising from improper use, window and window covering damage, permanent linen stains, dry cleaning costs associated with stains, breakage, theft and any other damage noted on departure incurred, sustained or brought by any person occupying or using the accommodation. Any theft, lost items, excessive wear and tear, or damage will be charged to the reservation holder. As the reservation holder you are agreeing to be the person financially responsible for the rental, and any costs incurred by you or your guests and give Carolyn`s Cove full authority to charge the Credit Card number given at time of booking. Carolyn`s Cove has the right to charge your credit card in advance of repairs being completed and will refund the difference once any of the listed reasons above as been completed.
Keys
If you are provided with keys to your accommodation please leave them in the room upon checkout. There will be a $25 charge to replace any lost keys.
Septic System
ONLY human waste and the toilet paper provided are to be flushed. No food scrapes or other items are to be washed down the sinks. Drain stoppers in the showers and tubs are to be used at all times to protect hair and other foreign objects from entering the system. Personal items and surf gear are NOT to be washed inside the accommodation. Violators of these house rules may be subject to charges to have the tank emptied.
GARBAGE/RECYCLING: guests on the property are asked to separate garbage from recycling and compost material. Information is provided in the accommodation. If you prefer that we complete this task for you, we charge out cleaning fee rate of $50/hour.
Smoking & Vaping
For your health and enjoyment, our property is non-smoking/vaping. This is a zero tollerance rule. IF we find that you or any member of you group has been smoking/vapng anyting on our property, you will be asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund.
Hot tub(s)
Use of the hot tub provided is at your own risk. The hot tub is checked before and after your use to inspect the condition of the tub and the water. Absolutely NO food or drink is allowed in or around the hot tub. Our hot tubs are located within viewing of other guest. Absolutly NO Nudity or sex is allowed in public areas, such as the the hot tubs. Please be sure to shower before using the hot tub to remove lotions, body oils, perspiration etc. We require a seperate swim suit for use in the hot tub which must be clean and are not to be used for anything else (tanning, on the beach or in any other bodies of water). If the hot tub is required to be drained after your use, or extra cleaning is required, or for any reason whereby Carolyn`s Cove feels the cleanliness of the hot tub is not up to standard for its next guest, you will be charged for the nightly reservation for any guests that can`t use it or to cover cleaning expenses at our hourly cleaning rate.

The property itself is nice but there are a few things we wish we'd known or were just strange:1: There is no potable water in the taps. The only source on drinking water is a water cooler through a door into a shared hallway and the only vessel for it is a coffee cup.2: There is a comprehensive list of rules on the bed. It starts with the sentance "To those who read this, thank you. To those who don't, there will be extra charges as the rules are mandatory." Very confrontational and unwelcoming feeling. And the rules themselves, So many of them. And so specific. Lots of little things like dont leave with lights on, dont touch the fan in the bathroom, don't flush anything not septic safe. These all make sense but in the context of the threatening wording it makes it feel like a checklist you need to stress about to not get in trouble. The extent and verbosity just felt like we were being treated like a problem child. In a no kids, adult-only accommodation. 3. A few rules were a bit much. One is "Quiet time." It says you have to be quiet after 10pm for the comfort of other guests. However it is also a specific rule that this includes using the hot tub. Why can we not just... be quiet in the tub? Like grown ups? In the summer it's nice to wait until the night and it's cooler outside to use tubs but... not allowed here. Oh, and its not private. There are comman areas in plain view. And a CAMERA DIRECTLY ABOVE THE TUB.Out of words- There are other odd rules. Not the best.

Couple days before arriving to this location we were notified via Email by Bookings.com of the fact that there were not any food prep or cooking in the Room.
Although pics of outdoor barbeque on the property, it is not included with the Romantic get away room.
This was not mentioned in the initial add when we booked back in Jan.2024.
This was very disappointing as we had not budgeted to eat out once we got there.
This room does not have any indoor seating area which was odd to me (bed and desk).
All to say that if you plan on booking this place these are a couple of things that you might want to consider.

We had a nice, relaxing stay in a tiny home on this quiet sheltered property across the waterfront of the town of Ucluelet. It was just a short drive into Ucluelet and a gorgeous drive through the Pacific Rim Preserve to Tofino. Private hot tub was perfectly hot!
Our hosts, Carolyn and Tom were totally accessible and tremendously helpful in making everything right about our stay. Great temperature control in our house. The grounds and beachfront views are great!
