About this apartment rental
A stylish tiny loft for design-loving, island-loving, sea-loving North Sea vacationers, with everything you need in a vacation rental: a kitchenette with an island, a cozy corner sofa, a 160-cm-wide bed, and a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. Oh, and the bathroom does, in fact, have walls…
Living area:
The large, comfortable corner sofa is the perfect spot to relax. Read a book, watch a movie, or just do nothing.
Dining area:
Right by the east-facing window is the dining area with a table and two chairs. It’s also ideal as a desk during a workation stay.
Sleeping area:
We’ve chosen a comfortable hybrid mattress (foam and spring core) for the 160 cm wide double bed. Bedding is included. Since the bed is placed in an alcove, access is only possible from one side.
Kitchen:
The loft features a kitchenette open to the living/dining area, complete with a kitchen island. It is equipped with an induction cooktop, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, a dishwasher, and an oven/microwave.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is equipped with a spacious walk-in shower. A hair dryer is provided, and towels are included.
The open floor plan combines all areas and creates a spacious feel. A total of 6 windows open the space up to the north and east—wonderful morning sun included.
Please note that Apartment 3 is unfortunately not suitable for small children. However, children ages 12 and older are welcome.

The outdoor area:
TIDE4 is situated on slightly elevated ground on a 2,000-square-meter property. In 2024, we began redesigning the area around the house and transforming it into a natural dune garden. Sand, dune grass, and pine bushes. In between, there are boardwalks and beach chairs. By the way, each apartment has its own beach chair available.
The Location:
Our guesthouse is located on a quiet side street in Wittdün. Wittdün is like a small nook at the southern tip of the island. This is where the ferries from the mainland and from Föhr arrive. And nowhere else on the island is the sea as close as it is here. This location “between the seas” is what makes it so special. On one side, barely 100 meters away, lies the Wadden Sea; on the other, the expansive Kniepsand and the endless dune landscape of Amrum. But the small town center of Wittdün—with all the shops for daily needs, restaurants, and our favorite beach bar overlooking the vast beach—is also not far away.
The Island:
Amrum is synonymous with peace and relaxation. The endless beaches, the vast horizon, and the unspoiled natural beauty are good for the soul and guarantee a relaxing vacation. Yet life on this small island in the heart of the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site is anything but boring. You can set out on wonderful walks right from the house. The Wadden Sea and the expansive Kniepsand—one of Europe’s largest sandy beaches—are just a few minutes’ walk away. This is also where the Dune Nature Trail begins—one of the many boardwalks that branch out across Amrum’s unique dune landscape. A long walk through the forest is also possible, as Amrum, with approximately 200 hectares of forest, is actually the most forested island on the North Sea coast. Those who’d like to explore Amrum by bike can cycle all the way around the island via the well-developed network of bike paths. One of the highlights is undoubtedly a mudflat hike. On the guided tours from Amrum to Föhr, you can explore the fascinating world of the Wadden Sea and perhaps even spot a seal or two.

On Amrum, a visitor’s tax applies to all guests aged 18 and older; this tax is calculated based on the travel period and is charged by us as an additional fee. Children and teenagers under 18 traveling with their parents or a legal guardian (except on group tours) do not have to pay anything. In addition, people with a “B” on their disability ID card and their accompanying person are exempt from the visitor’s tax.
