About this cottage rental
You are steps from your own private access to Upper Scott Lake. Swimming, paddle-boarding, and campfire s'mores await during the sunny summer afternoons. Autumn colors, cozy evenings by the fire, and family movie night fill cooler, rainy days. Grab a chair and relax under the well-shaded lot.
This lake house is ideal for families or groups to make many happy memories.

The Lake :
Upper Scott lake is a popular destination for anglers, offering diverse fishing opportunities. The lake is known for its variety of fish ( Bass, Bluegill, Crappie etc) making it a great spot for both casual and experienced anglers.
The space:
There are lights hanging above the patio and a fire pit to have an evening fire amid the lightning bugs, perfect for roasting hot dogs, s’mores and swapping stories.
We have an exterminator who comes every month to help us with mice, but as it's an old country house we thank you for your understanding if there's signs of an odd critter or two.
Guest access
Guests can make use of any space on the property, with the exception of the basement and garages, which we are using for personal storage.
Other things to note:
Check in: You can check in whenever you like on your day of arrival after 3 p.m. - there is a keypad lock on the front door.
Check out is noon.
There is ample cell phone coverage and WiFi at the house, but we do not have a landline phone.
There is no hunting on the property, and please respect our neighbors by not hunting on private land. There are opportunities to hunt on state and county land in Allegan county.

We stayed at this unique property for a family vacation, and our experience was amazing! We especially loved the two separate indoor hangout spaces, which were stocked with lots of games, a pool table, and air hockey. The easy access to the lake—with a paddle boat, two paddle boards, and life jackets—was a big plus.The views from the decks were beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed playing games and relaxing while watching the kids have fun in the water. The short drive to South Haven made it easy to enjoy the beach as well.Our host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or issues. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing family getaway in Michigan!
