It’s the perfect house to enjoy the calmness and beauty of southern Crete! If you are looking for a place far away from all the tourists, this is it! It’s very modern, totally clean, new appliances, fully equipped kitchen. It’s perfect for a couple or really close friends (since it’s not a big house). The host is very supportive and answers all questions, gives recommendations and try to fulfill all your needs. The little presents you receive arriving there are also a big plus and more then we ever experienced at this price range! Of course the main reason to stay here is the almost „private“ beach, right behind the house. There is nothing more beautiful than to wake up to the sound of the sea, and seeing it first thing in the morning! Would definitely recommend for everyone just looking to relax and enjoy the Greek sun and sea!

Nothing really, just things to be aware of: - the area is quite „isolated“, a car is a definitive must. There are some really nice taverns in the villages around, going to other parts of the islands might take some time (the way down the hills to the Keratokampos area is quite adventurous if you aren’t a experienced driver). Would recommend stocking up on groceries in bigger supermarkets in the big cities (Heraklion probably because it’s near the airport) before going to the house. - There is not much shadow on the terrace and in the garden, there is an fixed umbrella in the garden. It got quite windy during our stay though, so we couldn’t really use it. So bring enough sun protection! - And bring Water Shoes! Going into the sea without it could be quite uncomfortable, cause it’s completely stones. There are other beaches really near though that are a lot more sandy.

Traumhaftes Apartment!!! Wir haben schon viele Urlaube in Hotels und Apartments verbracht, aber dieses Apartment hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Ausstattung ist bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht – sogar gekühlte Gläser im Eisfach! Es fehlte uns wirklich an nichts: ausreichend Geschirr, Fenistil-Stick gegen Mückenstiche, Gesellschaftsspiele, Rasierer und Hygieneartikel im Badezimmer. Jeder Raum hat eine separat schaltbare Klimaanlage. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hochwertig und alles ist neu. In der Küche standen ein Wasserkocher, zwei Kaffeemaschinen (Kapsel- und Filterkaffee) mit Kapseln und Filtern, Müllsäcke, Olivenöl, Pfeffer, Salz, Alufolie, Kekse, Wasser, eine Flasche Wein und noch vieles mehr bereit – wirklich alles, was das Herz begehrt. Der Außenbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein: Sitzgruppe, Strandliegen und Sonnenschirm. Die Lage ist traumhaft – nur etwa 20 Meter vom Meer entfernt, direkt an einem kilometerlangen Strand. Der Strand besteht überwiegend aus Steinen, hat aber immer wieder Abschnitte mit feinem Sand und ist perfekt zum Baden geeignet – selbst in der Hochsaison angenehm ruhig (auf ca. 1km Strandabschnitt waren ca. 20 Badegäste vor Ort). Der Vermieter war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vorab erhielten wir den Code für den Schlüsselsafe und Informationen zur Umgebung. Er war jederzeit telefonisch erreichbar und hätte innerhalb von 20 Minuten vor Ort sein können. Besonders positiv: asphaltierte Zufahrt (in dieser Region keine Selbstverständlichkeit), Parkplätze direkt vor dem Apartment, stabiles WLAN (20 Mbit/s) im gesamten Apartment, Fernseher in den Räumen sowie ein Grill mit Kohlen (den wir wegen der Brandgefahr im August nicht genutzt haben). Ich bin wirklich sehr kritisch – und da wir bereits fünf Mal auf Kreta waren, können wir gezielte Vergleiche ziehen. Umso mehr freut es mich, so positiv über dieses Apartment zu berichten.
