Little Henford

The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Really appreciated the provisions and the lovely cake on our arrival.

Constructive criticism- a doormat would have been useful to put shoes on.

The cleanliness, location. Loved how quiet it was. Really relaxing.

This is a feedback for the hosts - Pat and Viv, Although we didnt get a chance to see you throughout our stay, we would like to Thank you for accepting our booking at Henford and for the refreshments you provided when we arrived.

The feedback below is for Sykes Holiday Cottages in particular. Our experience with this company was hostile right from the start. We made our our booking for this accommodation through booking.com app for 2 Adults and 2 children. We paid the full amount at the time of booking and assumed everything is in place. Soon after we were contacted by Sykes Holiday Cottages to inform us that we need to pay additional £20 for use of the sofa bed for our additional guests ( 2 kids) despite explaining that we paid the final amount and there was no such mention of the aforesaid amount on booking.com app. Sykes maintained that this is specified on Sykes website which we didn't refer to at the time of booking as our booking was made through booking.com app. We initially declined to pay additional costs suggesting that we can bring our own bedding for our kids, but were told that that owners has declined this and we need to pay additional amount. Hence we contacted booking.com who categorically advised that we should not be paying anything extra as we had already paid the final.amount. When we explained that Sykes Holiday is adamant that we need to pay additional amount, Booking.com agreed to bear the extra costs out of goodwill. If Sykes or the owners are reading this, i need them to understand that it was never about the extra payment of £20 but it was about information not clear when making this booking on booking.com app. We didn't book this accommodation through Sykes Holiday Cottages so wouldn't be aware of any such specific conditions. Anyways we are back from our holiday. The property was reasonably clean, the electric shower could do better especially if you are coming back for a nice warm shower following a long day out. Also the property would benefit from a dyson vacuum that suck out pet hair given the property also hosts travellers with pets.
