Good location and great view over the river Rhone. The whirlpool bath was fun.

Parking wasn't easy, but we found a space at the end of the road.

Gute Lage, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuss zur Altstadt von Viennes. Modern und stilvoll eingerichtet. Gut ausgestatteter Wohnbereich und Küche. Da wir an einem sehr warmen Wochenende dort waren, waren wir um die Klimaanlage für die Nacht sehr dankbar. Für Reisende, bei denen die Nutzung des Jacuzzi im Vordergrund steht, ein gute Adresse, die den Preis rechtfertigt. Wir hatten das Jacuzzi jedoch nicht benutzt, weil es a) zu warm war und b) uns der Wasserverbrauch etwas unverhältnismässig erschien. Tipp: das Auto am besten von Anfang an auf dem Parkplatz in der Rue F. Bonnier abstellen. Die Sackgasse vor dem Haus sehr eng und das Wenden sehr schwierig…

In Viennes verläuft die mehrspurige Hauptverkehrsachse leider direkt an der Rhone entlang. Der Blick auf die Rhone bei geschlossenem Fenster mag zwar schön sein, aber irgendwie hatten wir uns ein bisschen mehr erhofft. Das Appartement ist schön eingerichtet, aber es hat weder einen Kleiderschrank noch eine Kommode. Das WC mit Lavabo ist recht klein und wegen des übergrossen Boilers für den Jacuzzi permanent überhitzt. Zudem fehlen kleine Dinge wie eine WC-Papier-Halterung…

The view of the Rhone from the apartment is lovely. The apartment is a good size for two people and the bed was comfortable and there was a 'nespresso' type coffee machine.

The parking is not readily available and we were lucky to find one after having been given very vague and confusing instructions to a "large carpark with many available spaces" The parking is free but you'll be lucky to get a place. Check-in time is not until 4 pm, which is very late, and when we asked if we could book in early, they said certainly, for an extra €38!! I am sure this is strategic as there is nothing much to do in the area. We had already parked the car and weren't risking losing the space, so we walked around looking for restaurants that might be good for dinner. There were none close... only fast food options. The apartment is on the main thoroughfare, and it is, therefore, very noisy with the windows open, which is a shame. The shower and jacuzzi are in the bedroom, and there is a glass window between the living/kitchen area and the bedroom, so there is no way anyone other than a couple could stay here and have any privacy. There is not a door between the bedroom and living/kitchen either. There is not a toilet roll holder, any shelves in the shower (water splashes out onto the bedroom floor), and no bedside lights. The only hand basin is in the toilet, which also has the hot water system in it, so it is a very hot little room. The kitchen is very poorly equipped with one cheap frying pan and medium saucepan, neither with lids, one small, very blunt knife, a broken vegetable peeler, a couple of wooden spatula/spoons and a bottle opener. There is not an oven, just a very small microwave a toaster and a two burner hot plate, one of which seemed to have a mind of its own, coming on and off while we were using the other one. The stairs to the apartment are narrow and steep, and the front door to the building is never locked.
