Die Lage in ist sehr gut, fast direkt am Rheinufer, aber auch direkt in Kleinbasel mit vielen Restaurants in der Nähe

Kris, the property manager, was very kind and forthcoming. He brought a mobile air conditioner in the apartment, because in those days a heat dome was affecting all Europe including Basel; a fan was also there. I was also pleasantly surprised by finding a washing machine with detergent pods in the apartment. The kitchen had all the necessary tools. The apartment was very close to a stop of tram 8 going directly to the main train station SBB.
The neighbourhood was quite sketchy with lots of winos, troublemakers and prostitutes. The building was very old and the walls had accumulated much of the heat. As a consequence the apartment was unbearably hot despite A/C. The bed was too large and long. It occupied too much space. The wash basin was definitely too small (see picture). The floor was made of concrete, wich made walking barefoot uncomfortable.

Parkeerplaats ís uitdagend. Ook voor normaal formaat auto. Zit wel bij de prijs in.
