425Room,Newly renovated 20 square meters in Shibuya 6 minutes walk to Shibuya with direct access to multiple lines

The location was perfect for a one night stay in Shibuya! Everything we needed and wanted to see was within walking distance. The host was very reliable and responded quickly to messages. We were a group of 4 ladies and we found this place to be perfect for our needs.

The pillows are fairly thin and uncomfortable but for a one night stay was totally manageable.

Location was fantastic, right in the heart of Shibuya, and very close to shibuya crossing. If you’re staying with young kids though please be aware that it seems to be in somewhat of a hot spot for host clubs/strip clubs, but my group didn’t personally mind, and apart from the ads on the buildings we never saw anything actually inappropriate. Getting the keys was very easy, and while the building is definitely on the older end, it seemed secure enough and you needed a remote sensor to access the building itself, plus the key to the room. We never met any other residents except for one older couple briefly, and they were very friendly. The room and bathroom/toilet was clean, but when we arrived there was a singular hair strand on one of the beds which was incredibly off putting, but the sheets and towels smelled clean and freshly washed, and everything else looked clean so I assume it came from the cleaner on accident rather than the host having not cleaned inbetween guests. The shower came stocked with body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and it was the proper stuff from Dove too, which we thought was fantastic! None of the terrible hotel quality stuff

The room though is definitely on the small end and the picture of the main room is accurate to the real thing; if you have a lot of luggage and/or four people, it’s going to feel incredibly cramped. I was in a group of three, and we all travelled relatively light, but the lack of space was still somewhat of an issue. Also due to the lack of space, the sink is awkwardly placed next to the genkan, and it’s also the only area with a mirror, so if you want to wash your hands/do makeup/etc, you’re going to need to do it while standing in the genkan. The host provided disposable toothbrushes, but the toothpaste was a singular regular sized one, and it was already used/opened. Most people would be using their own toothpaste anyways, so ultimately a nonissue, but we thought that was incredibly odd, and in my opinion it would be better to just not provide that at all. While we never heard any noise from our neighbours, you can still hear outside, on the Saturday night especially it got fairly loud, the other two people I was staying with had no issue falling asleep despite the noise, but if you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping like me, it’s something to keep in mind. I ended up having to sleep with noise cancelling headphones. But for the fact that it’s literally in the middle of shibuya it’s definitely not the worst it could be! The noise was much worse at an apartment hotel I stayed prior to this one, and especially as you are on the fourth floor, the noise is muted. I think the towels were microfibre, and they did the job getting you dry. They felt very odd against wet skin, and I’m certain for the majority of people it won’t matter at all, but if you’re someone with bad sensory issues, bringing your own towel might be good just in case you can’t tolerate it. The towels were all a different colour though, a small detail but it was soo convenient in making sure nobody’s towels were mixed up.
