Historic Waterfront Apartment - Ashton House

We very much enjoyed our stay. The renovated rooms were of very high quality and elegantly prepared, the location was excellent. We appreciated the welcoming bread and spreads. Thankyou we can see the hosts vision of a special and memorable accommodation.

An amazing building right on the waterfront with off-street private parking in a super location next to art deco buildings, eateries, and a 5 minute walk from the Tourist Information Centre. The building was spacious and well furnished with excellent facilities. The kitchen/dining/seating room was airy and well stocked; the welcome supplies were a lovely touch too. Thank you! We had glorious weather in Napier, so didn't use the two separate sitting rooms, but they would give extra space if you need to escape the rain! The bedrooms were enormous and very tastefully decorated. Despite the property being next to the road, the bedrooms are quiet at night. The modern bathroom (with shower & toilet) was accessible from one of the bedrooms, but also from the corridor (not immediately obvious from the listing photos) and contained a modern washing machine and a tumble drier which was useful. The hosts, Sarah & Stuart, were quick to reply to pre-travel queries and also supplied a really useful book of local information including dining suggestions as well as information about the restoration work that they are doing to this lovely building.
