It is very good value if you need a stop-over near Howick. Lovely to feel you are in the countryside, on a smallholding with sheep, chickens and guinea fowl so close to the N3 (once you get used to the background traffic noise, which is not intrusive). The bed was very comfortable, as was the room. In spite of it being 34 degrees (celcius) outside, the room was remarkably cool until well after lunchtime. And I noticed there was a heap of extra bedding for the cold winter nights.
The kitchen area could do with a few extras - cutting board, tea towel, and maybe even a mini-chef? for guests staying longer than overnight. Just a suggestion.
