Great location, just off the main national highway through the middle of town (but on a quiet alley, just far enough away not to be bothered by the traffic noise), near the beginning of the 'old quarter' peninsula. There's not much of interest in Pakse, but everything there is - is within about a 15-minute walk. Many of the local minibus services to Champasak and Don Det have offices quite nearby; and the cross-border buses to Cambodia leave from a depot only 2km away. Rooms are basic, but quite large and comfortable (there are some cheaper ones, small, with no window; but the standard rooms are pretty affordable too). And although there is quite a lot of motorbike traffic up and down the alley, the windows are fairly robust and so noise in the rooms is minmal. The desk staff all speak fairly good English and are very helpful (at least, once you're there; communicating with them ahead of the visit was more of a problem). There are a few little chill-out nooks with small hammocks you can relax in; the one at the rear of the building gives you quite a nice sunset view. There's also a modest amount of parking space (the ground floor is an open parking area).

Online communication ahead of the visit was a bit of a hassle. And they didn't seem to trust that I was really coming, so didn't send my airport pick-up for me until I rang them to confirm that I'd landed (not such a big deal, as the airport is only 10 minutes out of town....).

Le personnel est très arrangeant. Nous étions en plein Pi Mai et de nombreux logements étaient fermés pour cette fête. Le KK hostel n'avait plus de personnel pour gérer l'accueil mais nous a tout de même laissé dormir dans la chambre.

La chambre était très petite et dépourvue de fenêtre

The service of the hotel staff was excellent exceptional good. They did everything in their possibilities to comfort you. I give them 10 stars 🌟.

The hotel building itself was not maintained properly and has lots of issues. It's NOT the fault of the staff. It's the fault of the head management or owner who lacks of keep maintained the property.
