I stayed here for over 10 days and would give the owner a full 10. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the subway and within walking distance of Gangnam, making it extremely convenient.
In my opinion, this is one of the best value-for-money stays you can find in the Gangnam area. As many reviews mention, the rooms are small, there’s no elevator (you need to take the stairs), and the bathroom doesn’t have a wet-dry separation. However, the owner already shows this clearly in the photos, and most accommodations in Seoul are similar.
The price reflects the reality.
Among hostels of this type, this one has by far the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve slept on. The facilities and rooms also feel relatively new. The common areas are very clean, and there’s a self-service laundry. Everything I needed was provided, and you can feel the owner’s care in every detail.
I highly recommend this place for solo travelers. If you’re coming with two people, I’d suggest booking the largest room available. Next time I’m in Korea, I’ll definitely choose W Hostel again.

There was a strong urine smell in the stairwell every day, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. I’m not sure why no one else mentioned this.
Pros: The host responded quickly and the room itself was fine.
I booked the 3rd-floor W Hostel, but was placed in a room on the 4th floor under a different name within the same building. Guests with large luggage might find the stairs inconvenient since there’s no elevator.
The location wasn’t as convenient as I expected. For the price I paid, I think there are better options available nearby.
