The houseboat itself was beautiful. The stay was quite peaceful. The staff (Hassan and Saddam) cooked delicious food, and helped me when I needed anything. Hassan also took me for a 1/2-day shikara ride around the lake and canals (hard work). Hassan was a wellspring of kindness and good advice for my experiences around Srinagar. My stay was safe and comfortable.
The cost was high for the experience, and the only space I utilized on the houseboat was my bedroom (meals were in the kitchen in an outbuilding, not in the pretty dining room on the boat itself). In order to anywhere, one must hire a boat ride to take you from the houseboat to the shore. For a short stay this would be fine, but for a longer says (I was there five nights) it became limiting. Overall, though, everyone was kind and helpful.

- Sehr schöne Lage direkt am See - Unterkunft ist nur per Bootsfahrt erreichbar - wunderschöne Aussicht - insgesamt ein tolles und außergewöhnliches Erlebnis
