About this house rental

The former Thornton Church of Christ was lovingly resurrected and transformed into a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The country church character of 1913 has been preserved for you to enjoy. A king bed features a 16 foot tall gothic window headboard. The second and third bedrooms have full-sized beds. The kitchen has cookware and dishes, and the island is built over the brick baptismal. The master bathroom has a custom shower, and the guest bathroom has a claw foot tub.

It was such a unique experience staying in a former church!

Overall, this was a great home to stay at in Thornton. The converted church is definitely unique. The stained-glass windows are really beautiful. The conversion itself was very well done. The mini-split climate control is great. The beds were very comfortable for me. The kitchen has all the basic stuff you need. There are only two nit-picks I have. First, cleaning could have been better (there was a mess in the microwave when we got there that we had to clean up ourselves before we used the microwave, and there were some cobwebs on window sills, etc. (but, given how the space is laid out, some cobwebs certainly aren't the end of the world)). And, second, the layout for bathrooms is a little bit awkward. The master bathroom is off of the bedroom with the king-sized bed, but there is no door to that master bathroom. So, if you are in the master bedroom, you can hear (but not see) someone using the toilet. And the 2nd bathroom is awkward because you have to walk through that bathroom to get to the 2nd bedroom. So, if someone is using that bathroom and another person is in the 2nd bedroom, then the person in the bedroom is stuck there until the person using the bathroom finishes up. If there are only two couples staying at the house, then the 2nd bathroom awkwardness wouldn't be an issue at all, but we had three couples staying at the house. Overall, the bathroom-layout-problem certainly wasn't a deal-killer. I would definitely stay at this house again.
