For context we had booked a one bedroom apartment in York centre which was cancelled at short notice so had to secure alternative accommodation. We would not necessarily have opted for this location as it is 30 minutes walk into York centre. We did however gain a bedroom, and a full Kitchen for 80 less than our original booking and the walk was never more than 30 mins, often less and along the river so pleasant. We’d apportioned the refund for Ubers, but only used twice at an overage of 8 each. The house is like staying in someone’s home and not the luxury of a designated apartment, and there were a few points for improvement which I will suggest to the host, but the fundamentals were good. Warm efficient heating, easy to get access, a responsive host comfortable beds, a hot powerful shower, smart tv and a full kitchen and table for four. We don’t use the back yard but I imagine in summer will be pleasant and quick access to a number of green spaces.The stairs are steep, which may prove an issue for some. It is compact but more than comfortable for the two of us. Four people sharing would be cosy but fine short term. A good experience overall and I would definitely stay again !

A great location for a weekend away in York. The property was spotless when we arrived and great communication from the owner.
25 minutes to walk into the centre of York, via the river path and free in street parking was a real bonus.
