About this villa rental
Private Oceanfront Sanctuary- serene house on large garden lot, 10 mins to town
Traditional Dutch Antilles style home with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, located in the quiet residential neighborhood Sabadeco, about 4 miles from downtown Kralendijk.
Large porch (half screened) leads to spacious sundeck with shade from three Royal Palms. Path through lovely native plant garden leads directly to neighborhood reef. Green space often is filled with loras and hummingbirds. Wonderful diving and snorkeling down a ladder at the end of the path (dive site is between Barcadera and Oil Slick for those who are already familiar with Bonaire’s epic shore diving). Outdoor shower, rinse tank and clothesline for afterwards.
Return from diving to well-equipped kitchen and dining space for up to 10 people (one dining area is screened which is so nice on a buggy evening). Large living room for games and streaming services. Kitchen includes stovetop, oven, coffee maker, full sized refrigerator/freezer with ice maker and dishwasher. Clothes washer (no dryer) in pantry.
Inside, the home is intentionally simple with a focus on the beautiful outdoor setting. Three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, have king beds and doors that open to the outside. Master bath has double sinks and showers as well as a safe in the walk-in closet. Bedrooms have glass windows, as well as shutters and screens, if you prefer to use the air conditioning units rather than the ceiling fans.
Primary living spaces feature grand doors and windows with screens and shutters to catch the famous Bonaire ocean breeze that the house was designed for (as is typical in Bonaire, living spaces other than bedrooms are not air conditioned).
Soft teak floors, high ceilings with ceiling fans, tiled baths and kitchen, and plenty of lounge furniture all reinforce the beach vibe.
Neighborhood is very quiet and residential; several houses are permanent residents. Sabadeco is very close to the Northern dive sites and beautiful coastal road. Ocean path is shared with 3 other homes. High speed internet with Wifi included. Parking in driveway fits 2 dive trucks.
