Adventure awaits just beyond the doorstep, where you can climb Ben Macdui, visit the Highland Wildlife Park, or step back in time at the Highland Folk Museum.

Watersports lovers can head to Loch Insh or the sandy shores of Loch Morlich for sailing, canoeing, paddleboarding, and windsurfing, with expert tuition available for beginners. Golfers can tee off at Newtonmore, where you might also catch a thrilling game of shinty. And the famous Newtonmore Highland Games in August and the Hogmanay fireworks and torchlit procession promise unforgettable experiences.

A short drive leads to the neighbouring town of Kingussie, home to a scenic golf course, local shops and the ruins of Ruthven Barracks - as well as Highland horseback adventures.
