Elegant Family Retreat with Ocean Views

The facilities and the location were amazing, it was right across the beach and beach chairs, umbrella and beach trolly was provided. The property had a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, gas braai, coffee machine and pretty everything you can think of. it also has two parking spaces reserved inside the property for the unit and 24hr security.

There is a bit of maintenance to be made in the unit though, like in the bathrooms the soap holders are broken and some of the bath rails are broken. It would have been nice to also be given hand towels, only bath towels were provided. The second bathroom shower had slow draining water so pipes need to be cleared. the extractor fan in the second bathroom cannot be turned off and is extremely noisy especially when you are trying to sleep at night. extra toilet paper would also be nice to have. the veranda door also did not lock, so that lock needs to be repaired.

Excellent location. Beautiful view. Beautiful unit & decor, comfortable beds, enough & all the necessary crockery, utensils etc.

The booking process was impersonal, tedious, no timely communication and the booking agent/owner not helpful at all. We wanted to uber, in the end we decided to rent a car, as we would have been left standing outside the unit with our suitcases for 5 hours until we could book in at 15:00. Houst/the owner was not accommodating at all - we went 3x to see if our key was available - in a tupperware box left at a garage !! The gasbraai grid was filthy, the knobs on the braai not working. When you open the gas at the gas bottle, all the burners will light - we could not regulate the braai. Only 1 kitchen towel was supplied, no cleaning of the unit or exchange of towels during our 7 day stay. The elastic of the main bedroom fitted sheet was so worn out, it pulled out from underneath the mattress, we slept on the mattress every night. No clear indication of the parking spot, we had to ask the security guy to assist us.
