Fantastic location, comfortable bed. We loved staying in the Golden Gai area and it was surprisingly quiet. Fairly short walk to Shinjuku Station, easy to get around everywhere.
Very compact, but I understand that’s common with accommodation in Japan.

Very thoughtful, it provides everything we needed to start the stay, bottle water, snacks, coffee & tea bags, wipes, etc. before we could go out to shop for supplies ourselves. A/C worked well - very important, we went there in hot summer . Bed and pillows were comfy . Shower water pressure was good. Clean kitchen, toilet and shower room
Location is subjective, if you like bars, it’s just literally downstairs at the backside. But it may be noisy to some for almost the whole night. I was tired from walking all day long, so slept like a baby all the nights I stayed there. But you could hear people laughing and talking from the bars side.
