Burrenmore Nest - Luxury Forest Lodges with Hot Tubs & Sauna

The cabin was really cool, elevated above the ground so you were looking down into the forest floor of ferns. Each of the 4 cabins is well-positioned so you aren't over-looked by another cabin and you can't see into anyone else's. Stunning peacocks wander the property which feels quite surreal and special. We really loved the laser light show on the trees when it got dark. We cooked dinner in the cabin and found the kitchen well-equipped for this. The hot tub is nice and hot and easy to operate, it also felt private even though it wasn't fenced in and was really cool having it right on the edge of the forest. There is a cute communal seating space with a fire pit and ingredients for making smores, we didn't get around to using it but it looked lovely. Katy was the staff member on duty during our stay, she was lovely to chat to and could answer all our queries.

Literally the only complaint we had was that at around 9,45am (ish) on the morning of our checkout we could hear quite loud chatting coming from outside, as we lay in bed. I had a look out and thought it was maybe our neighbour cabin guest out at their hot tub, on a phone call. As it continued, we realised that it was the cleaning lady cleaning the hot tub of the next door cabin, talking on the phone. This was before 10am and at least an hour before check-out time and did disturb us a bit as otherwise we had complete peace and quiet. About 20 mins later we realised that our hot tub was then being cleaned - you could see directly from our hot tub up into our cabin, so it felt a bit intrusive having someone there before we had checked out and we felt we had to get dressed quickly so we could walk around freely.

I would recommend a stay at Burrenmore. It's so relaxing and we loved the peacock's, so friendly. A very peaceful experience, great when you just need time away from everything to recharge. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Overall we just loved everything about it.
