Situated close to the city centre and the Nice-Ville train station, the apartment is on the 5th (top) floor of the building. Here it is very quiet and peaceful. Dominique was very helpful - a great host.

It was not a problem for us, more an observation to make it clear the lift only goes to the 4th floor, with 20 steps to the fifth floor

We really liked the apartment itself. It was modern, stylish, clean and located in a nice building. The location was excellent — the beach was only about a five-minute walk away, including a free beach area where we could bring our own umbrella. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the additional fans were also a great plus. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cooking utensils, and having a washing machine was very convenient. The apartment had a lot of potential and, despite the issues, we enjoyed the location and the overall style of the place

Unfortunately, there were quite a few issues. Although the kitchen was well equipped, many dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils were dirty and had to be washed again before use. The freezer did not work properly, so food placed inside simply melted. The shower drain was completely blocked, causing water to overflow onto the bathroom floor after a very short shower. There were only two proper towels for two guests, plus one very rough towel, which felt insufficient for a beach destination. The pillows were very thin and there were very few storage options for a one-week stay. There was also nowhere suitable to dry clothes after using the washing machine. The curtain rail was broken and repeatedly fell apart when we tried to open the curtains. There were no free power sockets next to the bed, meaning we had to choose between using the bedside light and charging our phones. The biggest issue, however, was communication with the host and the person responsible for check-in. We booked the apartment several months in advance and our early arrival at around 10:00 was confirmed. However, despite contacting them several times before arrival, we received no clear check-in instructions and were not informed that early check-in would actually not be possible. We only found this out after arriving in Nice. We also had no clear information about where we could leave our luggage or how to collect the keys. Communication was very slow and was sometimes in French, even though we were communicating in English. The check-out was similarly unclear: nobody contacted us at the agreed check-out time, and we had to ask ourselves what to do with the keys. All of this created unnecessary stress and significantly affected our experience.
