Newly Decorated Spacious room, Women only

Owner was lovely, and accommodating - allowed a slightly later check in time due to work, friendly, room clean and comfortable. Value for money.

Shared bathroom - I believe there was only one bathroom for the whole house, but only personal preference, not something this lady can change in her house.

Very near the city centre, on a bus route with frequent buses. Kindly landlady, pleasant to talk to and let me leave my luggage on the last day in the house where I could pick it up in time for my afternoon train departure, That was very kind and allowed me to do more sightseeing on the last day without being hampered by a suitcase. The house is in a friendly and quiet neighbourhood.

The stairs are steep and made me fearful of falling. I am 78 years old, somebody younger would probably not mind. I was only told on arrival that it was a Muslim household, therefore I couldn't bring in alcohol or pigmeat. I had put two quiches containing some bacon in the fridge shared by other guests who were Muslim which caused offence to them and embarrassment to me. Fortunately they forgave me when I removed them and they went on to be very pleasant and friendly, but I just wish I had had had prior warning. If I had known that, I could have avoided an unhappy start to my stay. But this a minor point and my overall feelings about my stay are very positive
