The villa is absolutely beautiful—immaculately clean, spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The private pool, peaceful surroundings, and stunning mountain and sea views made it the perfect place to relax, while Rethymno and its fantastic restaurants, beaches, and charming old town were only a short drive away. What truly makes Villa Myrtalia exceptional, however, is the owner, Nikos. He is one of the warmest, kindest, and most genuine people we’ve ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and from the moment we arrived he made us feel more like friends than guests. Every day Nikos would visit with fresh organic fruit and vegetables picked from his own garden. These thoughtful gifts were not only delicious but also reflected his incredible generosity and genuine desire for his guests to experience the very best of Crete. He was always available if we needed anything, yet completely respected our privacy—a perfect balance that made us feel so comfortable throughout our stay. It is rare to find accommodation where both the property and the host exceed expectations, but Villa Myrtalia does exactly that. Nikos’s hospitality is something truly special and is the reason this villa deserves every one of its five stars.
