Serendipity flat

Noise from above. Can hear people snoring (!!! Literally!!) or taking shower at the upstairs flat. For someone who like to sleep longer this was truly a let down as family upstairs had a baby and felt like baby is in our room and kept us awake all night. Truly disappointing about the noise from above hence will not be returning to this property nor i will recommend it to anyone. Its not a one bedroom as advertised its more like a studio. For that price - soundproofing could be a good option.

We had a lovely stay at Serendipity. The apartment is very well equipped, beautifully decorated and in a perfect location, with a sea view and a lovely little outdoor seating area. It also stayed wonderfully cool, which was particularly welcome during the heatwave and in Ventnor’s very warm microclimate! It’s only around a ten-minute walk into the town centre, where there are plenty of places to eat—we would especially recommend The True Food Kitchen. Overall, a really lovely apartment in a fabulous location, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The main area for improvement would be the mattress on the main bed, which is definitely ready to be replaced. You can also hear footsteps and movement when guests are staying in the apartment above. This didn’t bother us too much as we’re early risers, but it could be frustrating if you enjoy a lie-in or tend to go to bed early.

The flat was very clean, cool with enough basics for a 1 week stay. The kitchen was fairly well equipped.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable - we think new mattresses are needed.

Very cosy apartment with everything you could possibly need! Good kitchen, clean and attractive with some good views of the sea from the viewing point.

Low ceilings so my 6ft 5 husband struggled a little, especially in the shower. A 10min walk to the beach via steps - on a bit of a hill!
