Mid-century modern waterfront retreat on 2 private acres, 6 minutes from Astoria. 180° views of the Columbia River make the greyest days cheerful and bright in this inspirational design-appointed MCM. Restored and furnished to preserve original character and modernized for today; think DWR, Hay, and Schoolhouse. The river is spectacular from inside or out on the expansive deck. This is a wonderful wildlife refuge and place to unplug, relax and let your cares float away with the changing tides.
The owners love the big views out the windows and natures rhythms and don't want to disrupt them with window coverings closing down the window openings. For those of you who need darkness we provide disposable sleeping masks.
Please note that boats, trailers, and RVs are unfortunately not permitted.

Our small family loved staying at this lovely, well designed and very clean home on the Columbia river about 15 minutes east of Astoria. We spent as much time as we could outside on the back patio deck enjoying the view and good weather and did lots of bird watching. The beds were very comfortable, and it was easy to cook in the kitchen, play games and watch a movie in the living room. We were also happy to have AC during hot afternoons. It's a quick trip into Astoria for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants, and the weather was warmer & less windy at the house than in town which was nice. The only downside was the lack of window coverings in the bedrooms so morning sunlight woke us up early - hopefully they will remedy that as we hope to return next year.
