Group Retreat Near Top Wedding Venues plus Games Room

Lovely large house, very comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Kids loved the game room and trampoline. Washer and dryer were very helpful. Beautiful property.

For a small family like ours, it was perfect. But for a larger family, there were not enough appliances in the kitchen and not much furniture. The upstairs room could use a couch and a tv. Also, quite a few dead bugs around the carpets, flies and spiderwebs everywhere specifically around the gate opener. Understandable for a farm area though.

Absolutely beautiful property and perfect for a large group.

We really loved the property – it had such a homely feel from the moment we arrived. There was lots of space, both indoors and out, which made it perfect for our family. The kids had a blast kicking a ball around outside and especially enjoyed the games room, which was a definite hit. We also appreciated the cute amenities left for us, like sweet treats and all the kitchen staples you could need – a really thoughtful touch. It was great being not too far from town, yet still having everything we needed under one roof for a relaxing and fun stay.

We did really enjoy our stay overall, a minor inconvenience was the electric gate with no remotes, was a bit of a hassle – having to get in and out of the car each time was especially annoying, mainly at night, and even felt a little scary. (We ended up sending the kids to do it most of the time ) You'll definitely need a car if you're staying here, but that's not a big issue, it's so close to Prebbleton and Hornby, which have everything you need. The house does take a bit to heat up due to its size, but once the fire and heat pumps are going, it warms up nicely. Just be aware there's no fire guard or utensils for the fire – hopefully something that will be added in future!
