.Enjoy a retreat in the perfect mountain hideaway for your next mountain vacation. This beautiful retreat is located on 40 acres, merely a short 10-minute drive from downtown Winter Park. It is pet-friendly, built off the grid in 1998, offering 3,884 square feet of space, and can comfortably accommodate up to 11 guests.
The generous layout of the family room, dining area, and kitchen, along with the loft, provides guests with a charming living area in the cabin. Vaulted ceilings featuring exposed timbers and numerous windows enhance the appeal. Four distinct access points lead to outdoor decks, including the front entry with a porch swing, the wrap-around deck equipped with an outdoor hot tub and gas fireplace, and the loft balcony. A stay at Miles Behind will undoubtedly leave you mesmerized by the tranquil silence and the multitude of stars that light up the night sky.
The cabin comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom is furnished with a King-sized bed, the second bedroom contains a Queen-sized bed, and the third bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed featuring twin-sized mattresses and a trundle. Furthermore, the loft includes a futon and a Double-sized bed.
Our guests can enjoy exclusive amenities during their visit, such as complimentary Wi-Fi, a Charcoal Grill, Wood Burning Stove, Pool Table, Foosball Table, Electric Keyboard with headphone option, Washer/Dryer, Patio Table on the expansive deck, Fire Table, and Pak n Play. Please be aware that air conditioning is not available.
The cabin’s remote location may require a 4-Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive vehicle or one equipped with snow tires for easier access during heavy snowfall.
For weddings, small wedding groups are permitted at the cabin for an extra fee and arrangement. A wedding at Miles Behind promises to create unforgettable memories in a beautiful mountain setting.
Smoking is prohibited on the premises as per the Homeowner Association rules. Any guests found smoking will be subject to a 500 fine per day, as these rules are rigorously upheld.

The property itself is really wonderful. Love that it is out by itself and the house is lovely! A lot of items were not available such as napkins, condiments, and charcoal so while it says, there is a barbecue, we weren’t able to use it which we had planned on for one of our meals, so that was frustrating. Lots of games and everything was easily usable and worked well, including the hot tub

I really love this cabin — both for the space itself (very cozy, love the open kitchen) and proximity to skiing, while still feeling so secluded. The management team is very responsive and helpful as well. Have stayed here before, will stay here again!

Our family stayed over Christmas and house/property was just what we wanted. Secluded, serene, spacious, gorgeous views, and of course snow. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This property is amazing! The photos and description really don't do it justice, it's even better. Blissfully secluded. Cozy. Dark skies to marvel at the stars while in the hot tub. Plenty of room for two families, but felt luxurious with just one. The game room is so fun. Thank you for sharing your home with us for a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend, wish we could have stayed longer!
