Houghton Guest House

Went to stoke on trent for the summer holidays with my family and we enjoyed it. All amenities, from appliances, bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom were fantastic. The apartment is also at the heart of Stoke on trent. Walkable distance to the city station and bus availability. A 10 out of 10

The beds were comfortable and in a ideal location for what we needed the trip for .convience shop across the road . Plenty beds and yes I would go back and stay.

The house was nice in it's self. There was a clothes horse up that stunk of sour clothes if they had a washing line I would or re washed and hung out. 2 stinking towels lying in kitchen I asked the lad to take them with him he threw them under the sink . Sour milk left in fridge and it hadn't been cleaned out neither had the oven/grill. Pillow cases were foisty to but just swapped them from another bed. There was a hole in the wall at the top of the stairs and we pouted this out to the guy that checked us in the guy that checked us took a video and showed my trying to insinuate we had done it I explained it was already done he phoned his boss and I think he told him it was already done he spoke in there language so we got our £60 deposit back. I would recommend anyone staying to point this out when u are getting checked in as it may result in you losing your depisit.We had no Internet most of the weekend the telly works of the Internet so we had no telly either. That didn't bother us much as we were out mist of the day and got back late at night as we were at the kids dance competition. A little garden seat would of been lovely to sit out side . I am not slating the property of just giving my honest review. The cleanliness could have been better and yes I would go back and stay. There was only a 2 seater sofa and there was 6 of us but there was a dining room table and chairs.we did not take no photos .
