Airrose Tranquil

The property was great, really clean, really comfy beds, everything you needed there and great value for money.

The road the property goes onto is loud and kept us awake at night, the curtains didn’t block very much light out so we were awake with the sun (our stay was in June and I went with a 6yo), the area immediately surrounding the property is in need of some attention, I didn’t feel safe staying here as there was only one twist key to the front door and no further bolts and I worried that someone might break in.

As I was walking the canal, this place was perfectly located. It is just in Wolverhampton suburbia in a bog standard semi detached, but the apartment itself is really nice. It is well appointed, clean and comfortable, and modern.

Quiet once inside. Liked having a fridge freezer, washing machine and clean spacious bathroom. Sofa was comfy to sleep on.

Light pollution through the windows at night around the curtains. Surrounding area around the house and car parking area was all broken up and uneven underfoot. Two different single beds in the bedroom with two different firmnesses.

It was convenient for the event I was attending at nearby Pendrell Hall.

The first impression was not good!! There was private parking but the access was very poor due to a massive pothole! My car "bottomed out" despite driveing over it very carefully!! The front of the property is a mass of weeds and crumbling brickwork, and the exterior door needs cleaning. I then discovered I'd been given the incorrect code for the keybox and couldn't contact the owner as both tel numbers were unavailable. I even messaged Booking .com.!! Eventually I got a text telling me the correct code. The owner did send a later text to apologise. Once inside --the flat was clean but basic. The TV would not work to begin with --kept getting "no WIFI connection" message. However, that issue had resolved itself when I tried later. Unfortunately, despite having the corret password from the router, my laptop and tablet would not connect and "incorrect password" displayed every time I tried. It was very frustrating. The property is close to a junction with traffic lights and the bedroom window overlooks commercial busunesses on the opposite side of the road. There is only a set of curtains - which makes it impossible to be in the room without closing them. There should be a venetian blind or something similar to provide a level of privacy when in the room. The bathroom could do with a blind too. The information sheet needs updating--I never did find the ironongboard!!!
