Ohrid Demarko Apartment

Sahibi Ola hanım ve oğlu Marco işe tanıştık. Çok güler yüzlü bir hanımefendi. Tesise gelmeden önce bizimle irtibat kurdu. Dairenin tam konumunu ve nasıl bulunacağını anlatan video gönderdi. Her şey dört dörtlük. Daire çok temiz. Balkonda oturup Ohri manzarasını seyretmek harika. Kendilerine çok teşekkür ederim.

Very clean and comfortable

A few touches like shower gel/shampoo/cooking pan/coffee would be great The host is probably fine but I had some pretty wild communications. I’m sure it was a misunderstanding but it was an unpleasant experience that was unnecessary. You can ONLY PAY IN CASH. I had not noticed this and it’s not usual for Ohrid when I asked around and the other, better, central apartments I stayed were fine with card payment. Note, ALL ATMs charge high fees for cash, regardless of your card type. This is not what Google or ChatGPT tell you but it is true. Also note, your bank card might be blocked by your bank if you keep trying all the ATMs in search of a better deal. This happened to me. I explained on arrival when the host told me it was cash only that I had enough cash for the first night and I’d try again to get the rest of the payment asap. She got quite unpleasant when I updated that my card was still not working and tried to kick me out, even though I’d explained I had enough for at least the first night. In the end, some other tourists helped me and allowed me to pay for their meal with a credit card and gave me the cash they were going to use. They’d had a similar situation in Skopje. Shame this happened but be aware so it doesn’t happen to you and you can come prepared.
