Opal Suites si trova in una zona che si sta piacevolmente riqualificando, in posizione davvero strategica per arrivare a piedi in pochissimi minuti la baia di Baluta e da lì il lungomare di S. Julian, ma anche il lungomare di Sliema, e da lì La Valletta in traghetto. Fermata dell’autobus (Mrabat) a pochi metri; Leyland a tre minuti. Piccoli market locali nelle immediate vicinanze uno dei quali aperto 24 ore x 7 gg; supermercati più grandi nel giro di un km.
L’host è stato davvero gentile ad agevolarci con il check in e pronto a rispondere entro breve ad ogni nostra richiesta. L’appartamento è ben fornito per garantire un soggiorno confortevole.
Non possiamo dire che qualcosa che veramente non ci sia piaciuto: essendo capitati a Malta tra Natale e la Befana, e dunque probabilmente nel periodo climaticamente più freddo e umido dell’anno, abbiamo usato frequentemente le pompe di calore, sentendo la mancanza di uno scalda salviette elettrico per intiepidire il bagno e di un aspiratore sopra la cucina in modo da togliere l’umidità che inevitabilmente si forma preparando ad esempio una pasta (e che potrebbe tra l’altro nuocere al mobilio della cucina davvero funzionale e ben organizzata): abbiamo preferito un piccolo appartamento anziché una camera d’albergo, proprio per la possibilità -in una vacanza relativamente lunga- di prepararci qualche volta la cena a casa, senza indulgere agli eccessi cui mangiar sempre fuori può portare.
Non vogliono essere delle critiche, ma solo dei piccoli suggerimenti a Daniel che, attento com’è, li terrà certamente in considerazione.

The apartment is in an excellent location: close to bus stops, shops, and within walking distance of both Paceville and Balluta Bay.
The place is modern, clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay.
On top of that, the owner is incredibly kind, available and always ready to help with anything you might need.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I ever return to Malta.

Property owner was so nice, checked in frequently if everything was okay and responded quickly. Hotel was very nicely decorated and clean, big bed, hairdryer, amazing ac in all rooms. Area is great, close to the beach, good restaurants, grocerie shops, st julians and sliema (where you can get a 10 minute boat to Valletta) but not a loud area so you can sleep well. Nice small balcony with chairs. Also has a lift. Overall great hotel.
Towels were a bit blanket-like and not really absorbent but not a big deal.
