Beauty is only skin deep

This property on face value and looks is amazing, spacious - bright and parking easy. Garden clean and although not used the summer house looked lovely. The beds were comfy and lighting was about right, bit chilly on arrival but host directed us to thermostat controller so soon warmed up.

Beauty is only skin deep, We were told by House manager that the Cable box had been stolen and was not advised the dishwasher was out of order notice a review on 4th November after we booked so has been broken a while ( agent said broke day before will let readers decide from pics.) Danger points -- This has no smoke alarms ( host told booking .com there the ones you cant see) No carbon monoxide alarm. Things we discovered after kitchen was full of cooking smoke and found the extractor behind a picture broken. If there was a fire you would not get woken and the door at bottom of stairs is locked with no key, so no escape. This property does not meet fire regulations. Hosts says we were happy - we had nowhere else to go Christmas day so now choice. yes, lack of plates resolved, we went Asda and bought them. and sent a video of how property was left to avoid charges I fully expect a negative response. House manager did fix the Bathroom window that was open but no handle to close it. and told us where additional towels were. but the box of plates he pointed us to in cupboard where glasses.

Great value for money and designed in such a way lots of people could stay.

Bottom line. Great value for money! It catered for lots of us, and meant we could gather together on a family trip. Perfect.

There was no thermostat to higher the heating. I could have messaged the owner but I worked out how to higher the temp on the boiler (and lower it when we left) but could be good on the info to explain heating.

Clean, comfortable and functional - exactly what we required whilst staying in the area. Plenty of parking. Host very helpful when we needed to make a late change to our booking. Thank you.

Lovely family get together

Good location. Comfortable and various amounts of rooms to chose from. Nice and warm and clean. Easy access instructions.

When trying to cook on the stove, there was no frying pan, but we managed with the saucepans offered. We had a toddler who liked to run around and found some of the disused gas pipes for the fires that we exposed we a risk to him if he tumbled.

Very good accommodation worth the price

The property was very clean , staff was very friendly and accommodating

The 4th room is outside the main house and you’d have to come to the main house to use the toilet , I’d suggest the host build a separate toilet for the 4th room for convenience.

Loved the Modern decor

Very nice accommodation, very very clean and tidy. I loved the modern decor. What I thought was really good was all the complimentary snacks and drinks.

The fact that there is only one toilet in the main house, which is not separate to the shower, so it is very difficult to service a large group of people. The hosts need to add a downstairs toilet. The fourth room is not attached to the main house, this also has no toilet in it, which means whoever sleeps in that room, has to come into the main house to use the bathroom. Might be worth adding a bathroom/toilet. Apart from that it’s a beautiful home and well looked after.

Enchanting and serene stay, very relaxing

Mind blowing and absolutely amazing place to stay. We was so pleasantly suprised with the level professionalism with the host many 5* hotels cannot match. There was many extras that we wasnt expecting like drinks, slippers and complimentary toileteries. The standard of cleaniless and attention to detail was great too see. Highly recommend this place to stay. The summer house is a whole lodge on its own and the space is amazing. The garden is serene and very calming. Theres reading corner for adults and kids. Entertainment available nearly in every room.

Lovely property, especially the Summer House, in a good location. Comfortable beds. Everything you need for a great stay. We had one minor problem that was sorted out immediately by the very helpful host.

A tranquil and meticulously maintained establishment, offering an abundance of amenities for relaxation.

The spacious house was immaculate, and the host was exceptionally attentive and welcoming. The surrounding area was tranquil and charming. It was an ideal place to relax outdoors, and we were well-provided for, with complimentary items stocked up, which we greatly appreciated. The summer house enhanced the overall pleasant experience.

Would defo stay again

Everything....fabulous property. Great location. Attentive hosts. This place was perfect for our group. Kitchen was great size. Good weather meant we used the garden and the summer house was great.

Maybe a few extra blankets and towels would be useful.

Large property with beautiful summer house

A large spacious house that is very clean & had everything we needed. Excellent hosts with fantastic communication; thorough instructions to allow for easy check in and out, and nothing was too much for them. Very accommodating (providing fans last minute), everyday essentials and treats on arrival. Parking on the driveway for 2 cars. The garden is amazing… very big, well kept, plenty of seating and the Summer house is an added bonus - lovely space to relax & watch tv. On a separate note, the Dora City Chinese takeaway is well worth ordering from!
